Wayne Shrubsall

This Prairieville is on its way to Wayne Shrubsall. Wayne is a favorite of ours, a kind and helpful person and a fantastic banjo player. We think of him as a true " gentleman and scholar".

His Prairieville Vintage 12" is all walnut, with the standard brass hoop tone ring. It features Vintage peghead inlay and Peghed (tm) planetary geared tuners.

This is Wayne's second Chuck Lee Banjo.

I'd like to know something about the design Chuck has put into the headstock.

What wood did you use for the fretboard?

What is the distinction between the designation "vintage" and the non-vintage style?

Thanks Chuck.

John, please feel free to contact me at the banjo shop. The inlay in Wayne's banjo is a scroll pattern in Paua Abalone. The fingerboard and peghead overlay are ebony. The Vintage Series has more traditional inlay and the planetary "violin look" tuners. The Original Series has more "artsy" inlay designs and Waverly tuners. I can mix features or do something custom as you may like.
